Fun Design Game: "Random Album Cover"

The lucky few that I'm friends with on Facebook (, 200+) may remember this little design game that was played. The idea is to create a random & funny album cover with whatever the internet decides to give you. Here's the rules:

1 - Go to Wikipedia. Hit “random”
or click
The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to Quotations Page and select "random quotations"
or click
The last four or five words of the very last quote on the page is the title of your first album.

3 - Go to Flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”
or click
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4 - Use Photoshop or similar to put it all together.

5 - Post it to FB with this text in the "caption" or "comment" and TAG the friends you want to join in + tag the person that tagged you in THIS album cover!

Now, after a while, a bunch of us designers on facebook had this vicious cycle of tagging/notifications from all the comments on each others fake album covers. So, I wouldn't recommend tagging anyone in it except maybe the person that told you about it? That is, unless you want to be un-friended?

Anywho, this was a totally fun little design game to play and was pretty funny to see the results from the random pulls off the internet. I did one just now (pictured at the top of this post) and got "Brigitte Harmann" as my band name, but took some creative freedom and just used "Brigitte". I also got a quote from Winston Churchill that fully reads: "I like pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals."
